Essentially everything the Dungeon Pole is likely to be used for involves a degree of danger. It is to be used only by responsible practitioners of the BDSM arts, adhering to a framework such as “Risk Aware Consensual Kink.”

You, the recipient, represent that you are an expert BDSM practitioner, who understands the responsibilities this entails, such as inspecting and maintaining your equipment, using caution in all things but especially in learning new types of play, engaging in consensual and thorough negotiations with your partner, and being attentive to limitations your partner may have.

The Dungeon Pole has the same limitations as other indoor wooden furniture. It should be stored in a temperature-controlled environment free from moisture.

Dungeon Poles are made by Concept Craft, LLC (FL), which does not have engineering expertise and is unqualified to calculate the Dungeon Pole’s strength. We have been using Dungeon Poles regularly since 2020 and have found them to be strong enough for any of the play we do on them. We sacrificed a pole to perform a strength test. Video here. In our opinion, the amount of weight sustained, along with the gradual nature of failure, mean that the strength test validates the use of Dungeon Poles for normal dungeon suspensions.

Thank you for trying a Dungeon Pole. If you learn it well, you will love it. The best advice is to think of the pole as a co-top, who you can push your partner against, or who will hold your partner in place while you work. Starting a scene with impact and continuing it into suspension works on a Dungeon Pole like nowhere else. Here are more resources.

One of our goals is to get fetlife to recognize “Dungeon Poles” as a tag for pictures. Any help would be appreciated. We also have a Dungeon Poles group, which we hope to grow.

Thank you, truly, for your interest in Dungeon Poles. You are helping to make a dream come true.
